start the transfer process

According to the .MA central registry regulation, there is no automatic transfer process like in case of .com. The transfer can be processed however manually according to the following procedure setup by internic-ma.com.

1. Définitions

Losing registrar: the registrar that is currently managing the domaine name to be transferred to internic-ma.com

Wining registrar: internic-ma.com

Domain holder: company that registered the domain name through the losing registrar. Domain holder is the owner of the domain.

2. Steps

Step 1: The domain holder should contact us by email and give us the domain name he wants to transfer and pay the registration fees (normal price) for 2 years and one time non refundable transfer fees of 39 Euro by credit card for faster processing or otherwise, send a wire transfer. The transfer can be initiated here.

Step 2: internic-ma.com will process the transfer order and send a notice to the central registry to secure the transfer of the domain name. Once confirmed, the domain holder is notified by email and asked to go to step 3.

Step 3: the domain holder will send an email/fax to the losing registrar in Morocco informing him that he wants to transfer the domain name to another registrar and ask him to cancel the domain name with the central registry so that internic-ma.com can register it again.

Step 3 bis: if the domain holder registered the domain name through an IP/intellectual protection agency and has no direct contact with the losing registrar, then the domain holder should ask this IP/intellectual protection agency to contact its registrar in Morocco and inform him that he wants to transfer the domain name to another registrar and hence ask him to cancel the domain name with the central registry so that internic-ma.com can register it again.

Step 4: when the losing registrar cancels the domain name with the central registry (this implies a fax to be sent to the central registry), the domain name will be cancelled and registered again through Inernic.ma. Be aware that since that central registry has been informed by internic-ma.com about the transfer, there is no risk the domain name will registered by another person or company.
